Research Areas

Our research area is the structural elucidation of biopolymers, mainly proteins, by high resolution NMR spectroscopy. Multidimensional techniques, applied to proteins labeled with stable isotopes (15N, 13C), allow to determine their 3D structure with atomic resolution. Of special interest are investigations concerning their dynamic behaviour and biologically relevant intermolecular interactions with substances such as other proteins, nucleic acids, or inhibitors.
